Rolling Over

Unbelievable! Within days, Joash has learnt how to flip over from his tummy onto his back! Now he can roll to anywhere he wants. In fact, he is so quick now at rolling that when I turned away momentarily after putting him onto the mattress, I was shocked to hear a thud. He had rolled off the mattress and hit his head on the floor! Now I must be alert even when he is on the mattress.

As I watch Joash amuse himself with his new found skills and pick him up when he is nearing the edge of the mattress, I am somehow reminded of how God watches over us. He allows us the freedom to live our lives anyway we want within his protective boundaries. Whenever we approach danger unwittingly, He'll be there to turn us back from impending doom. If we resist His help, we'll fall and hurt ourselves. Imagine if Joash were to refuse to let me pick him up when he 'lives dangerously on the edge' while he has yet the skills to venture into the unknown without harming himself!

Psalm. 121:3
"He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber"

Now that he can flip back and is no longer stuck if he were to turn in his sleep, he can go back to sleeping 10-12 hours in the night. Thank God!!!

Here's one of his very first successful attempts to turn over both ways. *Big Grin*
