My Girl

I thank God for Jayna's growth in the past half a year. Although she is still rather whiny and wants to be carried pretty often, she has picked up some of Joash's cheeky and cheerful personality, albeit not as hyperactive as him. She is now able to verbalize her needs and wants better instead of constantly spinning into a whirlwind of uncontrollable emotions and crying. That said, it can still be very frustrating when she chooses to whine instead of telling us what she wants when she actually speaks so much better than Joash at the same age. All we can do sometimes is to patiently remind her to talk properly and pray that God will help her learn to take charge of her emotions as she grows older.

Last week I upgraded her wardrobe, a task long overdue since her rompers were bursting at their seams and her dresses could no longer cover her bottom adequately. When she started wearing the "new" dresses (They're actually hand-me-downs but are new in relation to her) I realized suddenly that she has lost the baby look and is now a respectable toddler. I pray that she'll be a loving and responsible older sister to the coming sibling just as Joash has been a wonderful brother to her. *beam*

Cheeky look

Jayna:
"One two three four, hi five!"

Acting coy

Pose and smile!
