Airport Excursion

The children's school was supposed to bring them to Changi Airport next Friday for an excursion about transportation. However, we will be attending the church camp and so they'll miss it entirely. In order for them not to feel left out, we brought them there last Saturday.

First, to Joash's delight, we took the long MRT ride to the other side of the island.

Yay! There's so much to see!

Sleeping beauty (Thank God! *Phew*)

Sitting on the MRT seat
for the first time!

Happy boy

When we arrived at Terminal 2's Aviation Gallery, Jayna woke up refreshed and ready to enjoy the exploration of the airport. The main attraction was definitely watching the airplanes take-off and land. I tried to direct their attention to the displays in the gallery but they ultimately still went back to plane-watching.

Watching the planes

Silhouette

Smelling Jasmine

Hmm... Nice.

We then took the sky train to T3 to have a look at the bigger and newer viewing gallery over there. Joash commented that the trains looked "fierce". LOL

Looking out for the trains

Happy Pram Baby!

Riveted at the window

Checking out the huge globe

Airplane food

Fiddling with the pet cages

Jaide was no less excited about planes.

Time for a milk break!

Monkey see, monkey do...

Watching the plane taxiing out

Look! I'm an airplane!

After all that exploration, it was time for tea break. the children were thrilled to have the rare treat to donuts. Funny story: Joash actually said they were not called donuts because they did not have holes in the middle! Haha... Took me a while to explain that one.

We ended off the day with multiple rides down the World's tallest slide in an airport. Poor Jayna was traumatized even at the shorter one despite having Joash going down together with her, whereas Joash thought that it was "no-kick" and requested to take the taller one after just one try at the preview slide. So Joash made full use of our receipts and went down the tunnel thrice.

It was a fun day and I hope that the children will have lots to talk about with their friends when they go to school on Monday. :)
