Playground Hopping

There have been new playgrounds popping up nearby in the recent years but I'm too averse to the hot and humid weather to be willing to hang out under the blazing sun for hours to explore them. Since the weather forecast on Friday was cloudy with a chance of rain, I decided to brave the sauna-like heat and bring the kids to the various playgrounds in Bukit Batok and Keat Hong Garden. The temperature was as good as it gets in Singapore: mostly cloudy with plenty of wind. Still, I was half-dead by the end of the day due to heat exhaustion.

Joram couldn't go all the way up the vertical playground so he was contented to stay at the lowest level and treat the waves as slides. Watch the video below for illustration.

The children's favourite part of the playground was the swing. Sadly, there is none available within walking distance of our place for them to enjoy on a regular basis. That was why they spent nearly an hour just on this swing alone.

It was so hilarious and cute watching Joram bouncing on the trampoline as if dancing to the music coming from a retail shop nearby. Hee hee... (Video below)

At the playground right next to the community center, there was an installation which allowed the kids to "bike-race". Joram couldn't do it due to his small size so he went onto one of the exercise equipment beside it instead.

Joram was too scared to sit on the big swing at Keat Hong Quad despite being able to lie down comfortably on it. Jaide however was thrilled with it. Watch her enjoy in the video below.

There were a few more installations which the little brother couldn't quite appreciate while his second sister was very enthusiastic in trying out. She is indeed our resident daredevil! (with the exception of riding a bike though... hahaha...)

Due to a sudden downpour, we failed to explore the new Clementi playgrounds the next day. Another time perhaps.
